Guessing by the music transitions you pick you seem to be really into keyboard based jazz. Many moons ago I was at a jazz festival and both Jimmy Smith and Keith Jarret were there. I had seen Jimmy Smith perform in Iowa previously. And wound up peeing next to him (we were in a bathroom) and asked him what he thought of iowa. He said “colder than a well diggers ass but good food.”

The next morning I was walking around the hotel with my brother who I didn’t get along with at all at the time. We walked past the closed hotel bar (it was around 10 am) and heard some amazing solo piano. We sat down outside the door and listened for about 45 mins. We talked, mainly listened and started on our road to understanding and bonding with each other. We were entranced to the point of not noticing the piano stopped, the door we were propped up against opened and we stumbled backward onto the feet of Keith Jarret. He laughed and asked us what we thought of the show.

Thought I’d share as a tribute to the sharing you do week in and week out. I sense you strive for connection to others, the world, your work and wanted to let you know you have a multitude of connections you’re not even aware of.
