LoShoPo and Pete Holmes is a fantastic combination. One of the best episodes in a long time.
It sounds entirely like Omarosa was trying to do a facetious “mean” bit, but that Amber’s anxiety caused her to miss the signs and made her see it as true hostility.
It sounds exactly like a person who’s not known for having a jovial personality trying to have a laugh. Like she was trying to come off as sarcastic and gal-pally, but Amber’s nervousness kicked in too strongly and took too seriously what were supposed to be zingers (made by a non-comedian with a generally non-jovial personality).
I doesn’t sound like she was actually being mean to Amber, it sounds like it was just a bit falling flat that Amber wasn’t aware was supposed to be a bit.
having a drunk pete holmes is almost as good as having joe wagoner on the show. Jamie kills as usual. damn fine episode.
Pete Holmes really did make it weird for the LoShoPo, but in a marvelous way! Pete’s a great personality for the mix – one of the highlights of my week! (Which, once I read it, made me realize that was a bit sad.)
