Laura’s comments on trying to hold the parking spot & parking the plane at the end had me dying with laughter. Another great episode.

  5. Corn Cobb says:

The Great Gatsby is still one of my favorites – one of the very few books that I’ve read multiple times. Probably the only book I’ve read multiple times – and it’s good every time.
Morrissey’s autobiography is really really good. I think you’ll like it even if you don’t like Morrissey because the writing is really entertaining, funny, clever, pouty, etc.
Sarah Vowell’s “Wordy Shipmates” is really good.
    Also Bob Dylan’s Chronicles.

  6. Jim says:

Jamie, the surprise gift you laid in in post (trying to avoid spoilers here) may be your Young Frankenstein. Bravo, sir.

  7. Valerie Bryant says:

I don’t have a book recommendation for Amber, but I do have a short story recommendation. I recently read Milan Kundera’s “The Hitchhiking Game” and was blown away. It’s brilliant and interesting and totally different from anything I’ve ever read. So.. that.

And, hey, Laura Kightlinger’s book is really great too.

  8. Zella says:

I laugh out loud everytime I read the name of this episode.
