This is in reference to having vivid dreams when you stop getting high. I’ve been toking for 32 years and I recently had to stop due to the fact the company I’ve worked with for 20 years started random drug testing. About a week after I stopped I starting having the most incredible dreams. So real and clear that I started going to bed earlier than usual. When I wake up, I have a perfect memory of what I dreamed. I’ve dreamed about people and places from as far back as my early childhood. I really enjoy it. I’m thinking about getting hooked on sleep aids so I can sleep and dream more. I truly miss getting high though, and the results may not be the same for everyone that quits. If I had a choice I would go back to getting high again but that’s out of the question until I retire in 16 years. I’m not preaching about the benefits of not getting high, just throwing out my personal upshot to quitting.

Yes there is some scientific evidence that marijuana interferes with REM sleep. I’ve quit several times after periods of prolonged pot use and experience vivid dreaming. It’s often so disturbing that I’m forced to wake up just to find out if it’s real or just a dream.
