  1. Captain Alex says:

This has got to be my favorite episode yet, Brent is such a good guest.

  2. Felipe says:

Haha, I loved this episode… did Sean shit on videogame music on purpose because of Brent’s “Legacy Music Hour” podcast or was it pure coincidence?

  3. Bastien says:

About the guy who sent the email: Fuck him.

Just because you admit that you’re a hypocritical, elitist asshole in an email doesn’t make it OK that you talk to people like a hypocritical, elitist asshole. He doesn’t get to decide how other people should feel, because other people do not exist just to be what he wants them to be. Really? You’re mad because she doesn’t feel the way YOU want her to feel? Too damn bad.

Amber, Jaime, Sean, and Eddie are not our playthings. They can talk about whatever part of their life they want, however they wan, and they don’t have to apologize for any of it. They aren’t beholden to me, Chilly Willy, or anybody.

  4. charlie says:

  6. Nicolas says:

Great episode. And Sean… hang in there buddy!

  7. Jacob says:

Long-time listener and occasional commenter/e-mailer here.

Jamie – It really is a small world! I have been finding it a neat coincidence to hear from a huge Built To Spill Fan and video game music fan that is also a die hard comedy fan (which I am too and is how I found out about your podcast as a matter of fact!) I have seen Built To Spill, the Video Games Live orchestra, Bill Burr, Norm MacDonald and more all somewhat recently. Kinda neat, right? I do recommend seeing Built To Spill live if you can, man!

Also, Amber is the greatest. Also, so is Eddie, Sean, and Jamie. I look forward to getting the Bitter Buddha DVD, by the way. Money is tight at the moment but at the very least it’ll be a great thing to get with Hanukkah money.

  8. Johnathan Bakes says:

it’s about time somebody took amber down a notch or two imo

  9. says:

    Hey gang,

    It isn’t “wavy”.

The correct terminology is “Ribbed For Her Pleasure”.

    Get it right!!!

  10. Waldo says:

Hey Sean, I understand your disdain for videogame music because the first thing that usually comes to mind is the theme of Super Mario Bros. That shit is annoying. But here is something very different. This is a reinterpretation of a tune from an ’80s game. It is the furthest thing from what you might expect. Band: Visa Roster. Song: Thrust.

  11. Alex says:

yo FUCK bumgardle. amber opening up and speaking honestly about her life, her past, her flaws, are what make me love her more and more each episode. same with jamie, and eddie, and sean now that hes opening up more. the fact that you all are so honest about who you are is what makes the show great and what makes it my favorite podcast. never change guys. i mean, unless you want too. but don’t change because some troll told you to in an email.

  12. admin says:

I saw Built to Spill in SF circa 2000. Afternoon show, they opened with Untrustable. Can’t wait to see them again! Thanks for listening Jacob!

  13. Jacob says:

Thanks for the reply, admin (presumably Jamie!) That rules! That’s exciting! Untrustable is the best! Liar is a personal favorite… it’s a bit obvious because it’s a lot of people’s favorite but I can’t get over how great that song is. Glad to hear from ya!

  14. Nick says:

Wow, that email guy is a mean person; hopefully it was just a bad day, if not… wow — mean guy.

I like that the guy was shitting on people for getting high and playing chess for being lazy while he was emailing a podcast, though.

I’ll be sure to check this post in another three years.
